Liberty Aerospace, Inc. Announces Delivery of Serial Number 100
Melbourne, FL, USA (February 27th, 2008) – Liberty Aerospace, Inc, manufacturer of the two-seat IFR Certified Liberty XL2 aircraft, announced today the delivery of Serial Number 100.
The aircraft was delivered to Mr. Robert Kinney during a press event at Liberty’s manufacturing facility in Melbourne, Florida. “I like to compare it to a Mazda Miata” commented Mr. Kinney. “It’s an economical, sporty, two-seater that handles well and is a blast to fly!” This will be the second XL2 acquired by Mr. Kinney, who purchased his first XL2 after learning to fly in a Liberty at his local flight school. His newly purchased XL2 will be used for advanced flight training and personal transportation.
“The delivery of Serial Number 100 marks an important and exciting milestone in our company’s history” stated Keith Markley, President and CEO of Liberty. “The XL2 represents a unique proposition to Flight Schools and Owners making available a state of the art aircraft with low operating and maintenance costs achieved through modular design and utilizing the fuel efficient TCM FADEC engine. We look forward to the next one hundred aircraft coming down the line rapidly.”
Liberty was founded in 2000 for the purpose of designing and building a highly efficient fully Part 23 IFR and VFR certified 2 seat aircraft. Both the company and the aircraft have evolved significantly since then, and the XL2 has enjoyed growing acceptance from Flight Schools and private owners in the USA, Australia, Europe and Asia. Fitted with a unique FADEC electronic ignition system, it is one of the most economical flight training aircraft and is now certified in over 28 foreign countries, in addition to the USA.
