Melbourne, FL USA (January 27, 2010) Liberty Aerospace, Inc. announced today that the XL2 will be featured in this year's Product Showcase for the SolidWorks World Convention in the Partner Pavilion at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA January 31-February 3, 2010.

SolidWorks World offers outstanding technical sessions, innovative products from around the globe and an opportunity for industry leaders to explore advanced technologies.  "The product showcase is a particularly fun part of SolidWorks World for our customers because they get to see a range of innovative products designed by their peers up close and personal," said Christine Washburn, VP of Marketing at DS SolidWorks Corp. "This year will be particularly noteworthy as it marks the first time we've included a full scale and fully functional passenger airplane!"

David Lister, Drawing Office Manager at Liberty Aerospace stated, "The modular construction of the XL2's airframe was designed using SolidWorks® CAD software, resulting in an aircraft whose systems are simple and readily accessible for routine maintenance - paramount for an advanced flight training aircraft in General Aviation."  Dr. Jason Russell, Chief Design Engineer at Liberty Aerospace also commented, "The Liberty XL2 uses advanced aluminum and composite materials to provide a low airframe weight allowing the aircraft to accommodate two 200lb pilots, 28 USG of fuel and state of the art avionics.  With the addition of fuel injection and FADEC the aircraft optimizes fuel consumption providing an environmentally friendly, IFR certified flight training platform for the 21st century."
