Liberty XL2 Receives Indonesian Certification

Melbourne, FL, USA (February 21, 2007) -- Liberty Aerospace, Inc., a general aviation aircraft manufacturer based in Melbourne, FL, has received official notification from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of the Republic of Indonesia granting it full certification of its Liberty XL2 aircraft.

“The Indonesian market is an important step in the expansion of Liberty Aerospace in Southeast Asia,” stated Anthony Tiarks, CEO of Liberty Aerospace.  “This certification, along with the recently awarded Australian certificate, allows Liberty to grow its pilot family in this region of the world.”

Type Certificate No. A 070 was awarded on February 2 to Liberty under part 23 of Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR–Indonesia) for normal category airplane.  This enables Liberty owners to register their XL2 aircraft in their home country of Indonesia and they will no longer need to use N-registrations from the United States.

Tiarks added, “Our Indonesian distributor, Edmond Fung of SKY Aviation, is already in place and will be taking delivery of his first Liberty XL2 in the very near future.”
