Liberty Aerospace, Inc. Receives Chinese Certification

Melbourne, FL, USA (May 22, 2007) -- Liberty Aerospace, Inc., a general aviation aircraft manufacturer based in Melbourne, FL, has received official notification from the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China granting IFR certification of the Liberty XL2 airplane.

“The Chinese market represents a very large opportunity for Liberty Aerospace and we are very excited to become part of this growing economy,” commented Keith Markley, C.E.O. of Liberty Aerospace, Inc.

The Validation of Type Certificate No. VTC0186A under the CCAR 23R3 and the CCAR 36 of General Administration of Civil Aviation of China (CAAC) was awarded to Liberty Aerospace, Inc. on May 9, 2007.  Design recognition of the Liberty XL2, in meeting the CAAC airworthiness standard, enables Liberty owners to register their XL2 aircraft on the Chinese B-registrations.  The use of Chinese grade fuel was also approved.

Lasida Klinsukond, Liberty’s International Certification Engineer, stated, “Liberty has developed a strong working relationship with the CAAC and we have been very impressed with their input into this validation process.  Receiving our Type Certificate validation for one of the fastest growing markets in aviation will allow Liberty to continue our international sales expansion.  We are proud to be able to offer such a well suited aircraft to China.”

Liberty Aerospace intends to fully develop all market opportunities in China.  Markley added, “The Liberty XL2 by virtue of its low operating costs, gives us a unique advantage in the training market and allows us to offer Chinese customers economics and operation that were not previously available.”
