Melbourne, FL, USA (December 5, 2006) -- Liberty Aerospace, Inc., a general aviation aircraft manufacturer based in Melbourne, FL, has received official notification from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of the Australian Government granting it full certification of its Liberty XL2 aircraft.

“The Australian market is integral to the strategic growth of Liberty,” stated Anthony Tiarks, CEO of Liberty Aerospace. “We are excited about Australia’s aviation community and look forward to welcoming new Liberty XL2 owners in this region of the world.”

Type Acceptance Certificate A234 was awarded to Liberty pursuant to Regulation 21.29A of the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998 on December 1, enabling Liberty owners to register their XL2 aircraft in Australia. They will no longer need N-registrations from the United States.

Tiarks added, “The timing is great as our first Australian delivery will be on display at the Australian International Air Show in Melbourne on March 20–25. Our Australian distributor, Nigel Hutchinson-Brooks of Liberty Aircraft Company Pty Ltd is already in place and will be presenting the XL2 to the public at the Liberty display.”
